Breakfast fairly average – usual fare for Brazil and up to
now seems to be – fruit slices, ham and cheese slices, usually some variable
scrambled egg and maybe hot-dog type sausage pieces, cereal, yogurts and
mini-cakes. Think that we will look back
at this in fondness when we get to the latter stages of this trip!
Off to Airport where the Americans were on one flight, and
Aussies, Brits etc on the next. Which only gave us one hour from landing in Buenos
Aires to transfer and depart for Montevideo, Uruguay. Bit of a rush through, not helped by having
to go through immigration control. Also
no snacks on either flight and just one small glass of lemonade offered.
By the time we arrived in Montevideo, everyone hungry and
thirsty. Short tour through town and dropped at very nice Crystal Hotel.
Short turn-around and straight out to recommended Fucus
Restaurant, with Loretta, Ed and Jude. Closely followed by the rest of the
group. Steaks, salad and fries washed
down with bottle of the local red Tannat wine (chilled!). Followed by a waffle pud with gelato and the
local caramel sauce. Yummy.
